1567 - Tokugawa Ieyasu was taken from his real family and given to another clan as a hostage
1568 - Oda Nobunaga goes to Kyoto and was victorious in the civil war
1570 - Christianity appealed to the Japanese because Christians believed that when they die, everyone will be reincarnated in heaven/hell
1575 - The battle of Nagashino
1579 - A child was born to Tokugawa Ieyasu, Hidetada
1582 - Oda Nobunaga was murdered by Mitsuhide, a general that
1590 - Toyotomi Hideyoshi takes control of Japan by assassinating Mitsuhide
1592 - Toyotomi Hideyoshi tries to invade Korea, but is repelled by China
1598 - Toyotomi Hideyoshi died of an illness on September 18th
1600 - The Battle of Sekigahara cleared the path for Tokugawa Ieyasu to become Shogun and this battle was mainly between Tokugawa Ieyasu and Ishida Mitsunari.
1603 - Tokugawa Ieyasu becomes appointed Shogun by the emperor after he is victorious in the Battle of Sekigahara
1605 - Tokugawa Ieyasu gave the title of Shogun to his son, Hidetada, and retired
1616 - Tokugawa Ieyasu died of an unknown cause, probably an illness
1623 - Tokugawa Hidetada retired from Shogun, and gave the title of Shogun to his son, Iemitsu
1632 - Tokugawa Hidetada died of an illness, he was Shogun for 18 years
1635 - Alternate attendance was introduced to Japan by Tokugawa Iemitsu, a system where every Daimyo in Japan had to travel to Edo every year and stay in Edo for another year
1639 - Japan became iscolated, but they continued to trade with the Netherlands
1651 - Tokugawa Iemitsu died of an illness, so his son Tokugawa Ietsuna became Shogun
1680 - Tokugawa Ietsuna died of an illness without an heir, and so it was decided that his brother, Tsunayoshi became Shogun
1687 - Tokugawa Tsunayoshi banned people from killing animals because it was a Japanese priest told him that if he is kind to animals, a male heir would be born to him
1709 - Tokugawa Tsunayoshi dies of a disease without an heir
1709 - Tokugawa Ienobu, Tsunayoshi's niece, becomes Shogun
1710 - Tokugawa Ienobu got rid of the 'killing animals' rule and around 8000 people were let out of jail
1712 - Tokugawa Ienobu died of an illness without an heir, but his adopted son, Ietsugu becomes Shogun
1716 - Tokugawa Ietsugu died when he was 8 years old with no heir
1716 - Tokugawa Yoshimune becomes Shogun
